Four riders scored double wins in Saturday's amateur program: Robbie Skaggs (125 and 250cc A), Brock Sellards (16-24 and 250cc B), Ricky Carmichael (85cc 1415 and 12Sc 12-15) and Ernesto Fonseca c (85cc 12-13 and Supermini ). The firs t 125cc A moto was a ba tt le ro yale between Paul Currie, Skagg s, Chester and Carsten. Skaggs led Chester across the finis h. Carsten de scribed the o utcome of moto two, say ing , "Ska ggs and 1 caught up with Chest er . Skaggs moved inside him, and, as Chester let off, 1 got by on the outside. 1 set Skaggs' up la te r. 1 hit the tops of some chop ju st righ t, got alongside Skaggs and powered by him for the win on the next straigh t." Skaggs bounced back with a 250cc A s weep, saying, "Chester led the first moto, and 1 was in fourth. It was so muddy that 1 couldn't get close without getting blinded by his roost. 1 just trailed h im, then hammered a set of whoops and got by him for the win." Matt Ma ximoff, who ha s re turned from racing after a nine-month hiatus, p ushed Skaggs in moto two. "I was looking pretty good until my hand came off the grip and 1 crashed," said Maximoff.
