Warren Dunaway will be the team's rider as he competes in the WERA Formula ill Champions hip aboard a 1995 Honda RSl25. The team will also compet e in th e Isle of M a n TT and selected round s of th e Ducados Open Series in Spain . Dunaway also hopes to earn a Wild Card berth in the Uni ted States Gr and Prix, sche d uled for August 6 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Speedway USA in Victorv ille, California , was re cently renovated w ith the dirt oval being converted in to an a renacross track . The High Desert stad ium w ill host the firs t of a 10-week series beginning on Decemb er 3. Ducati is Californian Jason Pridmore. Pridmore rode Kinko's-backed Yarnahas in th e 1994 600 a nd 750cc Super sport Series. Yamaha announces '95 racin teams Uring a Nove mber 18 pr ess conference held at the Adams Kart Track in Riverside, Californi a, Yam aha made official the rid ers who will ma ke up their road race, motocross and off-roa d teams for 1995. . As we have reported earlier, Yamaha's factory MX squad will consis t of 1992 125cc National Champion Jeff Emig; mu lti-time ama teur champ Kevin Windha m and perennial privateer John Dowd. The biggest news here is that longtime 125cc rider Emig will be moving up to the 250cc class for the '95 outdoor season. Fox Racing will outfit all team members except for Emig, wh o is still contracted to wear Thor: Ano ther item of interest is Yamaha's switch to blue and white as the official team colors. The once-florescent team semi now features the new color scheme, and the race bikes and team gear will also be blue and white. As -for the Yamaha-supported private teams, Team Noleen will again consist of Larry Ward, former MTEG Ultracross Champion Larry Brooks and current Ultracross champ Kyle Lewis, while Pedro Gonzalez and Mike Metzger will make up Team North Coun ty Yamaha. NCY will receive ad ditiona l support from casual clothing manufacturer Primal Impulse, and will travel in a new team fifth-wheel transporter. . For their off-road effort, Yamah a will continue to support 1993 GNCC cha mp Fred , Andrews, Duane Conner and Tim Shephard throu gh Shephard's Sportcycle Yamaha shop . The three will contest the Grand National Cross Country and Ha re Scramb les Series. Andrews is currently recove ring from hip surgery after hitting a tree. Jamie Jam es w ill head up Yamaha's road ra ce effort, contesting th e AMA U.S. Su perbike Series . James will not defend his title in the 600cc Supersport d ivision . Instead, he'll leave that to Tom Kipp. Kipp will also race the Supe rbike Series, but will no t defend his 750cc Supersport cro wn. After the ann ouncemen ts, Yamaha gave team riders, journalists and company personnel the chance to mix it up in the Yamaha YZl25-powered Margay Tsunami shifter ka rts , w hich are capable of speed s up to 115 mph.
