We cha nged the Intake manifold radIus a nd reed valve system for Improved air flow. Eve n the alrbox passa geway got boosted, so th e VZ250 ca n take bigger oxygen gulps. And we cha nged the Internals Of the Power Valve for more control an d a lon ger, wider power hit. Then we topped It Off with a stronger Ignition sy stem that generates hIgh er voltage at the spark p lug . We eve n '!ove Into the transmission and figured out a way to make It ShIft crisper. • The next stop was handling and suspension . We went Into the Racing Department a nd borrowed theIr fork d esign that features the new mid -range travel valve. It boosts the suspen sion 's midstroke performance (where your forks work th e hardest). Then we sli pped In a larger shock piston and ring set-up. Ana"lly,we changed the steering head angle, tucked It In a tad for q uicke r steerIng. then c ha nged th e trIple clamp offset to provi de Just the rig ht botc nce between precise steering and straIght-line stability. • From the re we moved onto Improving the b rakes .
