Nation al Hare & Ho und, which was scheduled to run as the final round of the series on November 6 in Carson City, Nevada , has been postponed. According to th e club, a 100% new course had been prepared, including virgin trails and fu n twotrack. Unfortunately, it was too much for the BLM to approve in time for the scheduled date. "They did give us an alternative site - an off-road ra ce car track," said course mars hal Sco tt Meyer. "But after I rode the most challenging sections in s ixth gea r, we decided that we would not lower our standards for a quality event in order to meet a bottom line or a date. As our riding areas dwindle and get o verworked, I know everyone will appreciate our decision to postpone to sp ring of 1995." The change means that the October 23 race in Lucerne, California, will be the final round of the '94 series. The Mickey Thompson Entertainment ' Group (MTEG) has added two new venues for its 1995 Mickey Thompson O ff-R oad Racing sched ule - Detroit, Michigan, and Albuquerque, New M exi co , will join Anaheim and San Diego, California, Seattle, Washington, Las Vegas, Nevada , Salt Lake City, Utah, and Denver, Colorado as the sites of the 1995 series . The series begins on January 21 at Anaheim Stadium and concludes at Rice Stadium in Utah on June 17. According to WERA, TNN's Race Day television show will air tw o live 30min ute shows from the WERA Grand Na tio nal Fi n al at Road Atlanta on October 30. In addition, the Prime Network will air a one-hou r s how on November 17 and a second one-hour sh o w on November 24. ESPN2 will show a Trip le Crown recap on February 1, 1995 w ith ESPN airing a halfhour recap on February 4. Ac cording to th e Britis h Trials & Motorcycle News, the motocross GPs will return to a longer moto format for 1995. Rather than the 30-minute -plustwo-l ap system used this year, 40minute-plus-two-lap motos will be uti lized next season. In addition, the FlM is considering limiting the number of rid ers allowed to participate in the Saturday qualifying sessions, though such a change would probably not be imp lemented until '96 or later. According to a n ews s tory in the Columb ian newspaper from Clark County, Washington, the Washougal Motocross Park may not be in operation beyond th e 1995 sea son. "There will be a track and a race seaso n in 1995," Ralph Huffman, an owner of the facility told the newspaper. "But 1996 could be a different story." The future of the race track depends on what happens with related plans to build highpriced homes on the hills above th e Washougal River . It appears that British MX des Nations hero Paul Mali n will ride the 125cc MX GPs for Mitsui Yamaha in 1995. Malin will also likely receive material from Michelle Rinaldi 's Italian Yamaha team. Current 125cc World Enduro Champion Paul Edmond son appears set to res ign with Gas Gas for another two years. The Brit first joined forces with the Spanish man ufacturer at the beginning of th is yea r. It is still u n clear whether Edmondson will remain in the Lightweight division, or if he will move up to a 250cc for the Hea v yw eight class. Harley-Davi dso n and The Rolling Stones have entered into a cross-licensing agreement that will see a custom Harley-Davidson Bad Boy motorcycle manufactured complete with Rolling Stones graphics. The bike will be the grand pr ize in a sweepstakes organized by Harley and its dealers. In conjun ction with the contest, there will be a range of ball caps, T-shirts, sweatshirts a nd jacke ts produced for the North American Voodoo Lounge Tour. Dates have been set for the 1995 World Championship Enduro Series. Rounds include Spain on April 1-2, Portugal on April 8-9, Italy on May 13-14, France on May 20-21, Sweden on June 10-11 and Finland on June 17-18. The International Six Day Enduro will be held in Jelenia Gora, Poland, Sept ember 18-23. The Supercross Int ernacional, a Mexican Supercross with a $31,000 250cc Pro class purse, has had a date change. The event will now run November 5-6 in Guadalajara, and No vember 12-13 in Monterrey. Lawson wa s third in the Pro Runabout Mod ified division on his Yamaha WaveRaider in the race that sent riders from Lake Havasu, Arizona, to Laughlin, Nevada. On Satu rday, November 26, the traditional Thanksgiving Weekend date for the classic Barstow to Vegas Hare & Hound, point-to-point desert racing will return to Southern California. The famil y of Becky Eakin, the girl who was seriously injured while spectating at the Washougal Nat ional MX, suffered their second tragedy of the year when Beck y 's brother Kevin Eaki n was seriously injured while racing at a Washington MX track recently. Eakin was air-lifted to the same hospital as h is sister and was placed in a medi cally induced coma .
