Procida M ORENO VALLEY,CA, /ULY30 A course change in the Starwest track may have made some riders stop and think, bu t when the d ust settled, the results in the w inner's circle were the same as the previous week's race: Mike Cinqmars was on a roll and has now won the las t three rounds of the U 5 . Suzuki-sponsored Ford Truck Giveaway Series. In the first moto, Brian Brown stormed out of the gate to grab the holeshot ahead of Cinqmars, Cory Gibbons, Brand on Dahlgren and the rest of ee the 125 Novices. Coming up quickly through the ranks after suffering a poor start was Mark Tilley, the MM Sports / CycleWorks rider. Talley ultimately passed over eigh t rid ers on the first lap . And by the end of lap two, had picked-off another (our to move in to the number-five slot. Up fron t, Brown ran into problems after coming up sho rt on the grandstand double. This enco un ter wi th te rra firma pro ved to be too much for the Suzuki rider, and he pac ked it in for the eve ning. Wi th Cin qmars inheriting the lead and Gibbons a running stro ng second, Tony Green began to p ressure Dahl gren and made a clea n pass late in the moto for third. At the checkered it was Cinqmars with the win, follow ed by Gibbons, Gree n, Dahlgren and Adam Pierce rounding o ut the top five. Moto t wo w a s a C inq mars w ire-t o-w ire affa ir with all the action going on in the pa ck following him. Tony Green ga ted stro ng and was running in secon d with Dahlgren pressuring him all the way. Their battle went on for th e complete moto before Dahlgren finally found an opening to get by for the number-two slot with onl y one lap remaining. A t th e fin ish the top three positions remained inta ct with Tilley and Randy Stefan br eaking in to th e to p five p ositions . When the tota ls we re tallied it wa s Cinqmars w ith a per fect I -I . Dahlgren's 4-2 outing wa s good fo r seco nd o ver G ree n's pair of th ird s. Cory Gibbons could only manage a seventh after his first moto second , but it was still good for fourth ahead of Tille y, who w ent 7-4 to round out the top five. Results 60 (6-6f. I.
