Despite fini shing second, LaRocco still enjoys a command ing lead in the 2S0cc se ries sta ndi ngs. With his teammate Mike Kiedrowski sidelined wit h a broken finger, laRocco enjoys an all-butun catchable 129-point lead over his nearest competitor Dowd, 420-291. McGrath is now th ird w ith 272 poi n ts. LaRocco cou ld realistically clinch the title next week at Washougal. Tea m Yama ha's Jeff Emig won the first moto ah ead of both Henry and Lamson, bu t Lamson ou t-due led Henry in a fight to the finish in the second moto to score the overall win . Emig couldn't make amends of a so-so start, finishing third in the second moto and third overall. Ryan Hu ghes of th e SplitFi re /Ho t · Wheels/ Pro Circuit /Ka wasak i Team , and Suzu ki's Damon Hu ffman compl eted the top five. " I just ha ve to keep wi nnin g," sa id Lamson. The title chase in the 125cc class has nar rowed d ow n to just seven points, with Henry leading Lamson, 3So-343.
