of event with come-fro m-beh ind wins in both of
the half-ho ur motos.
In moto one, it looked a t first that Roy Rose
and Justin Burr were going to walk away with it
when they shared the holeshot at the start and
were putting a good d istance between themselves and the field, while McQuisten was stuck
back in the pack du e to a ba d s ta rt. But th is
young lady was d etermined to come away wi th
the win , a nd she proved that old saying abo u t
marathon racers that its not w ho's out first, but
who's first at the end. As time wore on, McQuisten put on a fine display of riding ab ility and
determination to not only catch the leaders and '
pas s them both, but then lap the w ho le field,
with the execep tion of Rose and Bur r, for the
win in the first moto.
In moto two , Rose got the holeshot aga in,
but thi s time Will ie Sig narowitz was second.
McQuisten got off to another bad start, but just
as in the first rnoto, she kept up her steady style .
and again picked the leaders off one by one to
finally come ou t on top for her first overall win.
In the 2SOcc class, Jerry Brandt, who has pu t
away more wins tha n any other ride r with the
excep tion of Cra ig Christian, claimed yet another one. But num ber-two finisher Rich Mussman
put him to the test for almost all of the way in
bot h motos befo re settling for second place.
