Phee EULLESS, TX, MAY 29 Jaso n Ups haw dom inated the 250cc Expert class at ro und 6 of the GNC Texas Series at Mosier Valley Motocross Park. The first moto saw Jo e Ben yak take the ho leshot followed closely by Upsha w and Clint Latham, who cras hed in tum two, allowin g Brad Woo lsey to move up to fourth. Before the end of lap one, Ups haw moved into the lead throug h t he w ho o p se ctio n an d never looked back. Woolsey mov ed up to th ird with an outs ide move through turn on e and co n ti n ued hi s charge, taking over second in the woods sectio n befo re the end of lap two . By the start of the last lap, Latham had recovered from his crash and moved into fourth, pressuring Benyak for third. At the finish , Upshaw had a commanding lead . Woolse y took se co n d, and La tham charged a roun d the outside of Benyak in the last tum to take th ird . Moto two was even easier for Upshaw, who took the holeshot ahe ad of Woo lsey and Lath am. But Latham ' s prob lems w it h turn tw o would continue; this time he sta lled his Honda. The pac k roar ed by as Latham turned on his fuel petcock and got back underway. Ups haw sty led to a n easy victory, followed by Woolse y and Darryl Wills. Joh n Shef field won mo to one of the 250ec Novice class, b u t Justin Ledbetter - second in m oto one - holeshot the second outing and notched an easy victory for the overall. Results 50: 1.
