Like most of the Lightweight FourStroke class riders, El Campero H usqvarna's Arna lda Nicoli was not impressive on Sunday, but he and Rinald i split day wins for the weekend. Though they tied for points, Nicoli got the nod for the overall win by virtue of his special test times . Jonsson, Nicoli' s El Campero tea mma te, had wha t for him was a d isap pointing da y, finishing third . If anyone class experienced fortunes an d misfortunes in the race, it was the Heavyweight Four-St roke ca te go ry . Po ints leader Kar i Tiainen had a hard fall early in the day, and while he recovered, his crash kept him from winning the da y. This wa s the first tim e he did not win either day in more than a year. Farioli, on the other hand, fell he was a bit lucky to win da y two, but did not at firs t realize just how lucky. When the KTM rider arrived at the parc ferme , it . wa s noticed that his rear tire had a slice in it la rge eno ug h to cause a flat ; any longer and the Italian would have been .out.
