From its gigantic 6.6-galIon gas tank to its unique Teleleoer front and single-sided, Para lever rear suspension systems, to its horizontally opposed twin-cylinder engine, one might think that this bike came from a different planet. Though not an agile dirt bike, the GS can take you places most touring bikes can't - on or off the pavemenL For $1200 more, you can get the GS with ABS, which can be deactivated at a push of a button for lengthy off-road excursions. The GS Is a big motorcycle, not to mention heavy at a claimed 495 pounds dry. The rigid design of the Telelever front suspension helps give the GS a solid and stable feel over rough terrain.
