Altogether, nine div ersified sections were scattered along the vintage-friendly one-mile loop . Premi er Heavyweight rid er Darrow looked supe r as he clea ned all nine sections on his first loop. Darrow's nearest rival was the legendary Mann. who admitted to a bit of dabbing on his first loop . Mann enjoyed his second loop a bit more, dropping ju st nin e po ints. Darrow conti nued to ride clean and turned in an unblem is hed ca rd for h is second loop. Mann con tin u ed to imp rove a nd was ne arl y perfect on the final circuit , dabbing only twice, but noth ing co uld d ispl ace Darrow. Triumph-mounted Ken Marecak ma d e it loo k ea sy, cleaning hi s firs t loop and taking only a single dab in each of his subsequent loop s for th e class win. Kim Pr octor was a close seco nd place, but not even a clean third loop for Proctor could close the point gap on Marecak. Jimmy Shelton (7) beat Gerald Sharkey (45) for the Moroso Unlimited Supersport win. Real nets two at Moroso RR By Joe McKay PALM BEACHGARDENS,FL.MAR 19-20 Pablo Real continued his winning ways as he dominated the Super Twins an d SIOOO Shootout finals during round two of the Florida Champion ship Cup Series at the Moroso Motosports Park. . Real, on his Action Cycles/Spectro Oil s of Florida/Tsubaki Chain/Arai Helmets / Mariesponsored Ducati motored away from the field in th e Shootout, outdistancing Jam ie Bow man and Rick Shaw. After the dro p of the green flag. Shaw ran in front for two laps followed by Bowman and Real. Bowman moved up to challenge on the thir d lap, just as Real edged past going into tum one at over 115 mph. Real then passed Shaw d own the back straig ht of the 2.25-mile road course. On the fourth lap, Real crossed the stripe a full five bikelcngths ahead as he eased away from Shaw. On lap five of seven, Bowman mad e his move to pass Shaw in tum nine heading onto the front straight, then set his sights on Real and managed to close the gap , bu t it was not enou gh to make a challenge on th e bi g Ducati . Rea! scored the wi n with Bowman and Shaw fmishing second and third, res pectively. Scott Cantrell on an ex-Donald Jacks Suzuki GSXR1100 took the fourth s po t, with John France on his r ew Honda RS250 hanging on his rear tail piece at the line for fifth. In the Super Twins d ass Real was long gone almost immediately, but Doug Gross, Eric Moucatel and Steve Norton looked lik e a flying wedge as they crossed the line in second, third ; and fourth, respectively.
