Method ically, Poovey inched closer and closer to Davis un til he was only a hair behind. From lap nine until the finish, Po ovey shadowed Davis' every mo ve, bu t was un able to find a way past. At the finish, Carr wh eelied past the ch eck ered flag w ith two seconds to spare over DaviS and Poo vey.
