Chri s Waite, Mike Pierce and Tom Young were
the dominant riders at the fina l race of the Oregon Indoor IT/ Short Track Series at the Oregon
Slate Fairgrounds.
Waile dominated the 50 and 60cc classes just
like he did all season long to wrap up high-point
honors in the class whi le Pierce won the 125cc A
main,
Waite, ridi ng a Yamaha, salon the pole for
the SOcc Modified A main and breezed to an
easy win ahead of Aa ron Rice and Randy Pesek.
He then came back one race later to do the same
in the 60cc A ma in where he beat Honda rider
Dua ne Ash and Kawasaki-mounted Joel An:!.
A clima ctic battl e between Beau Brown and
Pierce for top 80cc A ma in honors went Brown 's
way by • wheel. Tlffi Ricket ts Jr. finish ed thin:!
ahead of Waite, Ard , Matt McCoy and Sean

Pierce came back to po und the field of 125cc
contestants. But it w asn ' t as easy as usu al, as
Brown an d Greg Bisson chased Ihe Suzuki rider
to the finis h. Pierce netted the wi n w hile Greg
Bisson, Bro wn, Sean Lig h l an d Am y Lig h t
rounded ou t the top five.
