In the Amateur Solo GTU, Goff fin- ished second to Mote-Art's Albert Hallman, a frequent visitor to the winner's circle. Hallman won the Solo GTU by 2.281 . seconds, but never made it to the top step of the podium again, "I've never been in first place before," he said after beating Goff. "1 really thought 1had second the whole time. I've had the attitude lately to finish and win, finally." Hallman also carded a pair of third s, the first coming in the Amateur Middleweight Supersport, a r ace won by Apache Racing's Scott Pedersen. Jon Schrocht was second, 1.278 seconds back with Hallman third in front of Sean Goff. Hallman would finish third again, this time in the Amateur Middleweight Superbike, a race that was red-flagged on the third lap with Thomas Hutchins of C.T.M. racing in the lead. Hutchins led from the start, with Hallman second in front of a swarm for third.
