Aaron Yates (458) gets his Harley
sideways In front of race winner Scott
zampach (204) and Shawn Higbee (4).
In the Amateur Solo GTU, Goff fin-
ished second to Mote-Art's Albert Hallman, a frequent visitor to the winner's circle. Hallman won the Solo GTU by 2.281
. seconds, but never made it to the top step
of the podium again,
"I've never been in first place before,"
he said after beating Goff. "1 really
thought 1had second the whole time. I've
had the attitude lately to finish and win,
finally."
Hallman also carded a pair of third s,
the first coming in the Amateur Middleweight Supersport, a r ace won by
Apache Racing's Scott Pedersen. Jon
Schrocht was second, 1.278 seconds back
with Hallman third in front of Sean Goff.
Hallman would finish third again, this
time in the Amateur Middleweight
Superbike, a race that was red-flagged on
the third lap with Thomas Hutchins of
C.T.M. racing in the lead. Hutchins led
from the start, with Hallman second in
front of a swarm for third. By the halfway
point, Hutchins had better than nine seconds of freedom with Charles Todd
Brank just getting by Hallman, and that's
how they finished_
