The ATK is graced with a new, more aerodynamic Acerbis rear fender and sidepanels, and a triple-colored Ceet seat. The plastic is from the same mold as KTM's (but red instead of white), and the seat sports sewn-in, colored panels, rather than painted graphics. Also, a new airbox houses a Uni foam air fiker . The lMS-made gas tank is the same as that on p revious models , and holds a substantial 4.2 gallons of fuel. As far as we know, ATK is the first bik e to fea ture An sw er ' s stell ar ProTap er handlebars as standard equipment. A Honda high bend is standard, though other choices are optional. Mounted to the bars are Sunline grips and a new throttle (Gunnar Gasser on kickstart models; Domino on electric starter's) with different ca bles (either Motion Pro or Barn ett).. ATK also fits new brakes to the 605, having tossed the old Italian units for new dual-piston Nissin grabbe rs, front and rear. Several of the ATK's parts ar e supplied by Vimco Engineering, a company tha t was once involved in the aerospace industry but is now switching over to motorcycle and moun tain bike pa r ts . Included on the "Vimco list" are the stainless steel brake rotors, front and rear axles (the front is 2mm larger than before), 7075 aluminum rear sprocket, motor mounts, axle adjuster blocks and rotationally molded plastic ai rbox, as well as th e beautiful aluminum rear brake lever . IMS supplies the folding shift lever and chain roller, and a new chain gu ide protects the 0 .1.0 VS O-rin g ch a in . 0.1.0 also makes the aluminum rims, which are shod with Dunlop tires (a K490 up front and a 695 on the rear). La rge-d ia meter stain less steel spokes connect the rims to hubs that are CNCmachined fro m billet aluminum, and feature captive axle spacers and sealed bearings (doubled on the d rive-side of the hub). ATK has also switched to high-quality hardware, including several allen-head bolts Stock, the 605CC has no lights, but ATK offers an optional lighting kit for $195. Included are an Acerbis HP headlight and taillight/ fender extension, as well as a w iring harness and regu lator/rectifier. The Whites have also incorporated another cha nge, and while it has nothing to do with the actual bike, it is very important. Before, prospective ATK customers had to pa y up front, then wait for their bike to be ordered and shipped. The new owners have eliminated that requirement by supplying their dealers w ith bikes on consignment. Not onl y that, but the Whites are cu rrently expanding their dealer network.
