They decided to run our classes along with the 50s and 655on the supercross trac k. Even there we had a solid inch of water. It looked like a Jet Ski race." James Stewart led the Pee Wee race un til stalling his b ike in the water . Michael Lowzaw took over and wound up scoring the win . "1 got third on the start and the guys were falling all over . 1 moved into second and when Stewart's bike stalle d 1 passed him for the win." Th e championship title in the 85cc (12-13) class came down to the final race of the series betw een Justin Buckelew and Matt Walker. Buckelew le d the championship-deciding moto from the start, but with the checkered flag in sight, he came to a halt. "1 had a minute lead when my bike stalled at the bottom of the hill," sa id Buckelew. After receiving help from someone by the side of the track, Buckelew managed to push-start his bike and still finish ahead of Walker. However, Buckelew . was penalized a lap for receiving outside assistance when he stalled his bike. As a result, Wal ker was awarded the class win as well as the class championship. Eddie Ray was the early leader in the 250cc B race, but it was J.D. Collins scoring the win after passing Rayon the second lap . Shaun Perol io, who ended up second in the moto, took home theclass championship trophy. In th e 500cc B even t, Jim Montgomery scored the win and the class champ ionship. Second overall went to Mitc hell Ho lstein, while Walter Procanyn, Paul Dzuvanowski and Rand y Morris rounded out the top five.
