five. Treadwell appeared to have th ird in the

from a bad start, into fifth place. Vaillancourt
slid ou t in a tum, letting Roy and Curry motor
by . Then Curry blitzed Roy in the whoops to

Chuck Springsteen (35) scored the Pro class win at the Flin t Ice short trac k.
Serra no showed more skin tha n sta mina, but
held on for all 10 laps to win both motos of his
class. Riding sim u ltaneo usly wit h the youn ger

year-old pro, passed Serra no on the fourth lap of
the first moto, but cras hed off a plateau jump
and lost too much time to stay in contention. In
moto two, McMurrich came fro m fourth position to take the lead on lap seven and held it to
the finish .

his rewards by scoring wins in the Open Band
the 30+ dasses as the Ridgewood Bay Resort
hosted the Dirt Track Riders Association's second ice race of the season on Elk Lake.
Dave Jend~o's heat race win p ut him on the
pole for the Open B main event, and he was at

Jeff Curry and Craig Noack were the big win ners on Dade City's supercross-s tyle track a t the
Pasco County Fairgrounds as Curry cap tu red
the 250cc Pro win while Noack won the 125cc
Prodass.
Wh en the gate fell for the 250cc Pro main,
Carl Vaillancourt led the pack into the first tum
with Curry, Vince DeVane, Mike Tread well and
Keith Johnson giving chase. Johnso n moved by
Treadwell as the field spread out Vaillancou rt's
lead lasted for three laps until Curry swooped
by in the whoop section. DeVan e then flew by
Vaillanco u rt on th e bac k straightway. Curry,
now out front , felt the pressure from behi nd and
made a mistake, allowing DeVane and Vaillancou rt to get by again. Curry quickly regained
second from Vaillancourt an d then found himself back in the number-one spot afte r a miscu e
by DeVa ne. John son wa s on the gas, passin g
Vaillancourt and DeVane to take over the second spot. Jean-Sebastian Roy also passed Vaillanco urt around the halfway point of the moto .
