ope ning lap, but relinq uish ed it whe n
Gambl e roosted him soon after. Gamb le
took off for the w in as Nihan ro d e a
strong race to hold onto second in front
of Houser.
For the second week in a row, Jimmy
Deever took his John Burr Honda to the
winner 's circle in the 12Scc Junior class.
Deever foug ht hard for his victor y,
working his way up from a poor start in
the first moto to take the win.
Gu y Giffin led the early portion of
the first moto before going down hard.
Deever was right ther e to take over the
lead, and took the win in the first rnoto,
followed by Shawn O'Brien and Casey
Lytle.
In the second mot o it was Lytle wit h
the lead as a somewhat-recovered Giffin
and Deever followed. Lytle held the
lead as Deever worked on Giffin, who
sta rte d to fade back as the pressure
buil t. Deever popped into second, while
Terrence Malan had wo rked his way up
to third after a poor star t. At the finish
Lytl e held on for the win, but Deever
received the ove ra ll with a stron g second place finish . Malan and Cliff Cook
cr ossed the li ne in th ird a nd fo ur th
spots.
