In the end , Bruce had the top spot by more than 20 seconds. The Ha rts finished second and continue to lead in the overall points. Vet lronman Dave Wells finished third, and first in his class. while the Bergstrom brothers, Mike a nd Pau l, we re fou rth overall, and th ird in the End urothon class over the Filippi broth ers, Dave and Dom. Eric Pucelik led the 55 en tries in the second two ho urs of action wit h 1992 AMA Grand Nat io nal C hampion Chris Carr going from fourth to second on lap two . Carr then led for two laps just before the sp lit, when Dan Reger took over the controls and held the point until the final rid er cha nge. Carr led lap 23 and then finished se cond to the two pro motocrossers w ith Ha rley -Davidso n of Sacrament o's Aaron Hill third over the Ha rt boys. Dan Reger took his CRSOO to the front of the third two-hour race and led for over seven laps until a flat rear tire side lined him for two laps and repairs. This mishap, comb ined with two flats in the second race, would pu sh Bruce to fifth in the points. TT specialist Andy Tresser, who was teamed with Ed Willis, then took over the lead un til the rid er swap when Rob Damron led jus t past the halfway mar k. Dam ron came back to the foref ron t a long with Tony Alves while Tresser wa s third in front of the Hart boys and the Vet Expert team of Pau l lwa naga and Rod Spencer. As the w h ite flag flew. Bisceglia bolted out of the gate in the lead in both motes , chased by Washington's Jeff Bailey and local rid er Roby Leach . Kawasaki rider Terry Ha mness, Bailey an d Leach waged a battl e well behind Bisceglia un til Bailey and Hamness tangled . Bisceglia took the checkered flag first while Leach wa s obliged to take second.
