Jim Neese, jones and DeHoo p were chased by Chad Lough and Childress. Lough fell in the tum after the finish line triple at the end of lap one, falling to the back of the field. Rand quickly opened up a three-second lead as jones and Bueh l fought for second. jones made a rriistake on the third lap , d ropping to fourth. Buehl's time in second was short-li ved as he fell in the tum following the gra nd sta nd tr ipl e on lap fou r. Rand, Neese, jones, DeHoop and Bueh l filled the top five spots as the race reached the halfway poin t. Rand held on to a four-second lead as jones battled Neese for second. Rand ran into trouble when he go t a nasty kick at the end of the whoops, making him sta ll in the next tum. Neese took over th e lead bu t jones cut h im off in the tum after the finishline triple to take the lead away from him Rand held on to third ahead of Del-loop, Buehl and Childress. Ne ese went down har d over the finish line tripl e ending h is outsta nding ride . Childress tried to ca tch Buehl, but a mi stake in a tum let him get away. Todd DeH oop an d Cha d Ped erson also added to their win totals, clai m ing Sa tu rday's 125 and 250cc mains, respectively. jones had a disapp ointing day on Saturday, but he was ready to go for Sunday's 125ccaction. jones ripped into the lead at the start and ran off with the win . jeromy Buehl went down in the firs t tum, taking Steve Childress w ith him. Shan e Lawson chased jones as DeHoo p held off Pederson. DeHoop passed Lawson on the fourth lap, and the top thr ee spots were set. Pederson and Greg Rand had a grea t battl e for fourth with Ped erson able to hold off Rand for the positio n. Before the 250cc main, the top riders all felt the holesh ot was the key to a win and no one let off going into the first tum.
