had replaced last year's three-loop
ordeal.
"1 was hammered," said Krause.

Cerny from Calgary, Canada, and
National Enduro guru Dick Burleson
from Michigan, the ri de could have
gone on forever.
"It's too cold
in Canada. You
can't ride there
anymore because
of the weather,"
said Cerny. "1

we came all the
way down here"

you did, you'd be dead. They'd just
say you seemed like a deer - a 40

As the final loop drew to a close,
Hamel and Davis did all they could to
tip the scales in their favor. Hame l still
had the physical lead when he th undered into the finish, and he held the
throttle wide open all the way past the
checkered flag to wring the last seconds
