UEVENTS e ... ~ ~ Q) ~ Q) u Q) Q Randy Jungwirth (24) couldn't stop Dallas Nyblod (2Y) at the Wood land MX. , Nyblod triples at Woodland Vintage Motocross By Clay Light WOODLAND, WA,NOY, 13 Seattle-area rider Dallas Nyblod continued his reign of terror in northwest vintage motocross racing at Round Two of the Vintage Dirt-sponsored series at Woodland Motocross Park. Nyblod won three classes, riding his 1974 Honda CR125 to a 12Sec Expert win, and also taking the 36+ and 2SOcc Expert wins on a 1974 Yamaha VZ2.5O. Nyblod won all the classes with impressive 1-1 sweeps. Nyblod's first task was the combined 12Scc Expert ! Amateur cla ss. where he won both motos ah ead of great battles between Expert Richard Sipp and Amateur Darren Peterson. Peterson ca me out on top of a moto two shootout between the d uo to take second and top Amateur followed by Sipp, Harry Taylor and Steve Kauffman. In 250cc Expert action, Nyblod had to mount come-from-behind rides in each outing, having troub le with a pair of Honda riders. Randy Jungwirth led bo th mot os for two la p s but crashed his way out of contentio n, allowi ng teammate Joe Casey to settle into the lead. Casey wasn't a match for Nyblod, w ho found a way aro und him . Casey was the second ove rall finisher with 2-2 p lacings. The 30·40 class was mu ch th e sa me as Nyb lod led sta rt to fmish in the first rnoto, but Jun gw irth ca me bac k w ith a ven geance in the seco nd ou ting only to succu mb to both Casey and Nyb lod. NybJod too k ove r shortly thereafter and went on to fina lize his sweep. Casey again went 2-2 for second ahead of Garry Rotter. Also pos ting stellar per form ances was Oregon's Dale Demaris, winner of the 40+ and Ope n Expert classes, also w ith I-I rides on the North west Maico/CZ-backed CZ. Dem a ris' second win came after beating Yamaha rider Taylor and Maico-mounted Dale Hodson, second and third with 3-2 and 2-3 rides, respectively.
