Tim Barker had everything und er con tro l at the
rain-soaked Mou ntain View Off-Road Racewa y,
winning both 250cc Novi ce motos and the firstplace trophy.
Barke r ca me out of th e ho le th ird behind
Chris Jordan and Will ie Giro ir a nd remained
there for two laps. After Giroir drove past jordan
at the bottom of Sun sh ine H ill, Barker d id the
same com ing out of the whoops, leaving only
Giroi r between h im and the lead . Barker took
the lead less than half a lap later on the infield
d oub les and h eld it to the fini sh with Gi ro ir
ho ld ing second. Barker went on to post the win.
In the second rnoto, Barker aga in sta rted in
thi rd pos ition behind jason Alegr ia and jorda n
whil e Giroir was ha ving the sa me p robl ems in
t he h o le as Al egria ha d in th e fir st round.
Barker mad e quick work of bo th lead ers w ith
Aleg ria holdin g sc-cond . Barker scored the win
in moto two. Alegria's stro ng seco nd- place finish gave him second overall. Sean Green came
from way back to finish third ahead of jordan
and Giroir.
