Sun day's racing kicked off with Unlim ited Supersp ort. Billy Eisenacher led the start chased by Church, Earl Halfo rd , a nd Kevin Hu nt un til Church crash ed on lap four . Harvey Whitaker trailed Michels unt il halfway th rough the second lap when he made a pass for second. The ord er stayed the same thro ug h the second lap. There was one mo ment of big concern in ro und four when Venegas lost his engine on the sta rting line. Reserv e rid er Edd ie Castro carne in a nd picked up a second whic h was the margi n of victory ove r the second place team of Mike Faria and Don Odom. Ven egas go t a big help ing han d from Chris Man chest er, who p rovide d the back-up bike that m ad e it possible for Vene gas to finish ou t the night. The team d id that in style, go ing 1-2 in the fina l round. Rob Pfetz ing, one hal f of the team of Pfetzing and Brent Wern er gave the bes t example of team rid ing wh en he blocked Gary Hicks an d allowed Werner to get by. Pfetzin g's sacrifice of the lead gave Wer ner first pla ce p oints whil e Pfet zin g collected seco nd, earn ing the team a swee p for that round . They finished third ove rall. It was proba bly just as well as there was a dogfight between Peter Lewis an d Jami e Macy on the Kawasaki, and John Math erson and Dale Leede r on the Yamaha.
