of 1994, and now has an extra reason to look forward to his birthday.

And erson, a 15-year-old 125cc junior class rid er
who won a bran d -ne w Chevrolet 5- 10 truck at
the fina l rou nd of the GFl Win a Truc k Nigh t
Series, held at Perris Raceway .
Anderson, along wi th the top five series finishers in each of the amateur classes, were all
entered in the ra ffle for the truck. Fro m the
many slips of paper thai filled the hat, five finalists' na mes we re d rawn. Plus·35 Novice class

Ashley Keefer, 125cc Beginner Tommy Chacon,
a nd 125cc juniors David Hughes and And erso n
were selected as the five finalists.
Each finalist then chose one of fiv e truck
keys , but only on e would have the correct key
that would bring the truck to life. And erson was
the next-to-Ias t finalist to try h is key, and the
spectators howled when h is key slarted the
Chevy's motor.
" I can't believe it, we were almost ready to
leave," said Anderson, whose evening started
