Th e 16-year-o ld Hesmer started in scratch position after a rough time in the heats and led nag to nag. Re yn o ld s came o ff th e 75 ya r d li ne a nd worked to second by the halfway mark. Hesmer was o u tpulling Reynolds in the stra ights a nd that was the di fference as Hesmer held off Reynolds by inches at the checker. OH,AUG. 28 Shane Lawso n captured the overall wins in the 125 a nd 250cc Pro classes a t roun d four of the 1993 Budwei ser Supercross Series at Act ion Spo rts Supercross Par k. Lawson on a pair of Suzukis com bined good starts and erro r-free rid ing to top Keith Bowen, a former factory Vamah.l /11JF Racing sta r. Bowen was the fastest rider on the track, but bad luck and a cras h gave Lawso n the ad vantage and he mad e the most of it. Mik e Morgan go t a grea t sta rt in the firs t 250cc Pro mom. Scott Ha yes held second ahead of Su zuki rid ers St ev ie Crowe and Tommy Collier. Bowen and Lawson got mid pack starts bu t quickly se t out after the lead er. On the second lap Bowen roared in to seco nd and bega n to ca tch Morgan's Sports Cycl e Racing Yam aha. Hayes held. third as Collier and Lawson cha sed Stevie Crowe for fourt h. Bowen made his move in the gra ndsta nd whoops and took the lead . Crowe fell while battling with Ha yes and rem ounted in se ven th. Law son contin ued his char ge, and he passed Hayes for th ird with two la ps to go. Lawson pull ed out all the stops and cau ght Morga n on the last la p. Lawson too k a big cha nce in the infi eld wh oop se ction and nearl y cras hed . Bowen jetted to an easy win , and Morga n held on to second.
