Par k in Casey, Illinois on July 31 and August 1.
Schesser dominated th e 12Sec and 250cc A classes on both days and too k firs t p laces in every
moto in which he competed. O ver 100 rid er s
wcr c on hand for Saturday's racin g card and
were treated to excellent track cond itions.

Band 2SOcc B classes, Matt Wilson in the 125cc
C cla ss, Ch ris Reynolds in the 250cc C, Gr ay

Ronald George in the 40+ class , Tim Filippi in
the 25+ class, Greg ory Fowl er in the Automatic

Over 200 riders turned out for Sunday's
action d espite a heavy rai nstorm hittin g th e
track the night before. nus caused some ru tting
to form on the we tter portion s of the co urse eno ugh to make things interesting. But th e re
wa s no d ust and track conditions on most of the
course were per fect wh ich led to some fast racing.
Despite h av in g so ~e tighte r compe tit io n
than he got on Saturday, Schesser did his thin g
again, swee p ing each moto in both the 125cc and
250cc A classes . While Schcsser's main compe tition in the 2SOcc A class, Chad Thompson, did
not com pet e at Lin coln Trail th is week, he di d
ge t so me com petiti on fro m Jimmy Du nn an d
Todd Sheed y in both classes.
Du nn ac tuall y got th e holes hot in the first
250cc A moto of the d ay but Schesser took the
lea d righ t back on the second lap a nd nev er
relinqu ished it. Sheedy ended up passing Dunn
to take seco nd with Du nn in third .
Schesser wou ld not let another 250 ge t ahead
of him ag ain the rest of the day as he roar ed out
to a 15-second lead over Sheedy in the second
moto and flew to the overall win.
Wh ile Schesser domina ted the 125cc A class
by an even bigger margin than the 250 class, the
co mpetition behind him was tight and tough.
Dunn again got the holesh ot over Sehesscr in the
first mo to and he was ab le to hold the lead for a
short time before Schesser flew ahead of him on
the seco n d la p . Clin ton Moore, Jr. an d Dun n
fought it ou t for second and th ird with Dunn
edging out Moore .
In th e second rnot o, Sch esse r aga in wo uld
not give up the holeshot as he roared awa y from
his compe tition. Behind him Du nn , Moore and
Jerem y Bat itoner, who crashed in thc first mo to,
battled for second . Baritoner overtook Du nn on
the third lap but ga ve wa y to Dunn and Moore
on the fourth lap as the two kept relen tless pressu re-on him. Baritoner eventua lly finished fifth
in the moto. Dunn took seco nd and Moo re captured third overall behind Schesser.
