Hess does it at Reddy Hole XC By Mary Jackson IVOR, VA,JUNE 1 3 Havoli ne lBare Bros./Oury/Tsubaki/Neely Racing-sponsored Brian Hess claimed his fourth overall victory of the season at the Reddy Hole Cross Country. . Roland King was fastest off the line, bu t quickly lost the lead to Hess, who passed him in an inside curve. With only 33 seco nds betwee n he and King on the first lap, Hess picked up the p ace and by the third lap had put over two min- utes between himself and his competitor. King kep t up the pace and did n't let Hess have a cha nce to slow do wn and relax wh ile riding the . 44-mile track. At the sta rt of the 250cc A class race, Mark Allman was first into the wood s, followed by Darrell Allman, Rick Romans and Mike Romans. It was a battle between the Romans brothers for the first two laps. At the start of the second lap, George Greer had moved up from sixth to second.
