It took 24 hours, 2,042 miles and who knows how much sweat and blood, but theYamaha-powered Force RacingTeam triumphed at the grueling 25th annual endurance race at Nelson Ledges. JU dging from the number of breakdowns, the punishing track proved to be too much for a lot of otherteams. But the Yamaha FZR 1000 powered through, finishing a gaping nine laps ahead of the'next guys. Congratulations to Jeff James, Dean Hayes, Chris Hughes; Ron Crum, Mark McDaniel, Shawn Higbee and Rick Pagniano. By the way, this was the very last 24 hours at Nelson Ledges. Too bad. Itlooked like the FZR1000 could have kept going another 25 years. 11
