Note: Road Atlanta has long been a favorite of both riders and spectators alike. Movie actress Kim Basinger liked it so much she bought the neighboring town. The scenic layout has been improved dramatically since the last time the AMA visited the facility in 1990, with the entire track being resurfaced. Also, improved safety measures such as the removal of certain dirt embankments are expected to be done prior to ¢e July running of the National. Get ready to kick the red clay off your shoes, and be prepared for an overload of pre-'% Olympic hype and that stupid Tomahawk Chop.
