Kiedrowski, McGrath and Craig share the spotlight after the 250cc feature.
Michael Craig ran second all but the last lap of the 2o-1ap feature; he ended up third.
Brian Swink aggravated an old wrist injury when he crashed while leading a heat race.
Gaddis pulled alongside of Henry but
just couldn't get enough drive to complete the pass, and a lapped rider that
got in his way didn't help matters
either. The attempted pass ultimately
ended up costing Gaddis a little ground
on Henry, who easily went on to score
his third win of the year with approximately two seconds to spare over
Gaddis.
A distant third went to Huffman,
while Lusk and Team Splitfire/Hot
Wheels/Pro-Circuit Kawasaki's Mike
Chamberlain rounded out the top five.
Mexican Pedro Gonzalez finished a
career-best sixth, while Kawasaki Team
Green's Scott Sheak finished in seventh,
just ahead of Lawrence. Deegan, who
started the race in second, finished 15th
after crashing on the second lap.
"That was probably my best ride of
the year," said Henry. "There were a lot
of lappers out there and you had to play
it safe. 1 got around them okay because I
tried a lot of different lines during practice. I guess it paid off."
"I tried my best," said Gaddis. ''I'm
kind of mad at myself for making a
bunch of mistakes. I had to pick my
pace up and not let Doug get away, but
he had some better lines than me. n
Huffman pretty much summed up
the I25cc feature by saying, "Doug simply rode one hell of a race."
