muscled his way past and into the lead. Once into the point, Chamberlain established an immediate lead by skimming the tops of a long set of stadium rockers. Decker suffered another mediocre start and was forced to come from mid pack. By the fourth lap, though, Decker had slithered into second and began to close the gap between himself and Chamberlain. With that, it looked to be a repeat of the first mota as the two ridets again pulled well-clear of the rest of the pack. With four laps to go, Decker looked ready to make his move, but suddenly went flying over the bars after a small double jump. "Chamberlain crossed my line and 1 had to slam on the front brake," said Decker. "The front end washed out and 1 went over the bars." Decker remounted in sixth, but his motorcycle was badly damaged. "The bars were bent pretty bad and the sub frame was tweaked," said Decker. Decker went as fast as he could aboard his bent motorcycle and worked up to fifth at the finish behind winner Chamberlain, Manley, Antunez and Mike Metzger. Chamberlain was uncontested for the overall win over Manley, Antunez and Decker. "1 saw the crowd jump up and I knew that something had happened to Decker," said Chamberlain. "After that 1 just mncentrated on riding smooth." Decker redeemed himself with the overall win in the 12See Pro class. In the first mota, Decker started seventh but worked into the lead. Decker scored the win over Young, Chamberlain, Dana Wiggins and Metzger. The second mota saw Clowers lead the way for the first six laps, but Chamberlain and Decker raged past and into the top two slots. Chamberlain pushed his Kawasaki hard, perhaps too hard, in an effort to hold Decker off. Chamberlain's machine began to pop and sputter as he raced towards the finish line. Chamberlain coasted across the finish line with the win, inches ahead of Decker and a distant Clowers, Wiggins and Spud Walters. "My bike seized at the finish line, I'm lucky that it stayed together that long," said Chamberlain. Decker's 1-2 finishes were good enough to nab the overall win, edging Chamberlain's 3-2. Jiri Dostal destroyed the competition in the 80cc Intermediate class aboard his CSA Airline/Bill's Pipes-sponsored Suzuki. Dostal romped off with a pair of uncontested-mota wins ahead of Scott Conley, Josh Harrington, Jerry Aleman and Terrance Malan. Jimmy Varis flew to the overall win in the 80cc Novice class with a 3-1 mota scorecard. Sean Hamblin,' Danny Montoya and Billy Payne led Varis in the first mota, but Payne dropped out of contention with a broken chain. Hamblin went on for the win, while Montoya fended off Varis for second. Varis took control of the second mota aboard his Cycle Engineering-backed Suzuki and never looked back. Payne finished a distant second, while Mark Tilley rounded out the top three. Nick Alvarez was untouchable in the Pee Wee Stock class, and he easily won both motos. Jason Ciarietta and Cale Wallace battled in both matos, with Ciarletta getting the nod. Chad Gaulmer finished fourth overall, and celebrated his eighth birthday in style when he won a Yamaha PWSO that was raffled off by GFI Sports at the end of the day. The top five finisherS in each of the Pee Wee classes were entered in the raffle. (l\" Tyson Kady (3n and Casey Johnson (125) battled in the 250cc Intermediate class and finished third and second, respectively. Pee Wee Stock class winner Nick Alvarez won a Yamaha PWSO supplied by GFI Sports. Results Pfw BEG DlV 1: 1. Andy Pien:< (Yam); 2. Ricky Olivar (Yam); 3. Broc Armbruster (Yam); 4..
