Shad Ricketts claimed the third overall position after a see-saw five-lap ride. Ricketts was out front at the start bUI hooked handlebars with someone and went down in the first turn. He caught up with the leaders but then had 10 stop and untangle his Husqvama from barbed wire. Rickett's final setback of the' day was finding out afler the finish that Graber had passed him on the last lap demoting him to third position. Jerry Hemann had a similar experience as he sat in the scoring lanes waiting out the last few seconds of the clock thinking he was out front and then findiin!! out that Ihree riders had gone out on the fifth lap and he was in fourth place. Fifth overall wenl to the Intermediale class winner Gary Adams, who put his Yamaha out fJ:ont on the second lap and finished six minutes ahead of second Intermediate Dwight Haggard. Vamaha-mounled Allen Haynes took firstplace honors in the 250cc class. Many of the 125cc class riders made a wrong turn at the slarl, but David Wilfong kepi his Honda on target and claimed the first-place tr0phy at the end of three laps with 30 minutes to spare.
