Hand jumped the fmish-line triple and nearly landed on Jones, but Jones held on to the lead. Hand rode in second and Yezek and Jackson raced for third. Yezek pulled away from Jackson and moved up to Hand's rear wheel. Musselman tried to triple his way past Jackson, who protected the inside line to keep the fourth spot. Yezek's pressure caused Hand to make an error on the triple, and the Honda rider barely avoided going down. Hand then made another mistake, falling in the whoop section and slipping back to 10th. On the last lap, Jackson locked up third place, and Musselman hl:ld off Bowen for fourth. Jones won and Yezek finished second. £N Results Mike Jones styled his way to three out of four PrlKlass wins at the Huntington Indoor MX. Jones jams at Huntington Indoor Motocross David 1. Jones won both the 125 and 250cc main events on Saturday and the 250cc feature on Sunday to bring his series win total to five, while Team Green/Fox/George Quay-sponsored Davey Yezek took Saturday's 125cc win. In Saturday's 125cc Pro class main event, Mark Musselman timed the gate perfectly, and led the pack through the first turn. Yezek was right behind Musselman, with Todd Bennick and Greg Rand chasing after the leaders. Jones got a bad start but was flying through the field, and he caught Rand by the third lap. Yezek hammered through the whoops, and his aggressiveness got him the lead on lap three. Rand and Jones were the only riders to clear the finishline triple jump on a 125, and they used the obstacle to catch Bennick, who suddenly found himself in the middle of a war for third place. Jones and Rand both got by Bennick by the halfway point, and Jones began to reel in Musselman. Jones nearly crashed when he tried to pass Musselman for second place. Bennick moved into third, and before Jones could recover from his miscue, American Suzuki/MSR-sponsored Rand slipped into third position. Jones and Rand fought for position in every turn and after several collisions, Jones had sale possession of the fourth spot and Rand was on the ground. Yezek scored the win, while Bennick M 30 took advantage of a bobble by Musselman to grab second place, and Musselman held third ahead of Jones. Musselman got another great start in the 250cc main with Yezek, Bennick and Jones right behind. Jones immediately tripled his way past Bennick for second, and started after Yezek. Yezek held off Jones in the back whoops section, but their battle moved them by the leading Musselman. Jones tripled his way past Yezek and began to pull away. Bennick followed Musselman in fourth position, ahead of David Hand. Hand began to jump the triple, and he and Bennick caught up to Musselman on lap four. Keith Bowen also moved up to join the skirmish for third. Bennick made a mistake in the back whoops, and Hand slammed the door on him to secure third. Hand caught up to Musselman with three laps to go, but he made a mistake in his rush to get by, and he barely held off Bennick to maintain third place. At the finish, Jones and Yezek were way out in front with Musselman in third. Hand and Bennick battled through the last turn with Hand taking fourth by a bike length. Jones grabbed the holeshot in Sunday's 125cc Pro class main and charged out to a lead. Bennick and Chad Lough diced for second, with Yezek and Jackson chasing them. Eickel saw his chances for a win disappear when he crashed on the first lap. By the lap three, Yezek and Jackson were able to pass Lough in the grandstand whoops. Bentley Cycles/George Quay/ Arai/FMF-sponsored Jones was the only 125 rider to clear the triple jump, and he used the move to stretch out his lead. Yezek and Jackson had a great race for third behind Bennick. Yezek got a great drive going into the back whoops and got a wheel ahead of Jackson, but Jackson fought back to hold onto second. When the white flag came out, Jackson held a two-bike length lead on Yezek, but Jackson made a mistake on SATURDAY MICRO: 1. Willy Browning (Yam); 2. Chds Whitcraft {Yam)i 3.
