DeSolto's second outing wasn't as
succesful as moto one, as he started in
third place and slipped back to seventh·
by the checkers, but his score was still
good enough for second overall.
"I broke my finger in practice yesterday, and it hurt so bad it was unbelievable," said Pocorobba. "My dad said I
could ride the whole series if 1 did good,
but no one told me it was going to be 20
below!"
Pocorobba put on another dazzling
display in the 250cc Intermediate class,
turning lap times within a few seconds
of Pro-class winner Moore and leading
for most of both motos. Chanton
Christian came back from a terrible start
in the first moto to post a second-place
finish, then backed it up by notching
the runner-up position in moto two.
Torco-backed Michael York turned in
consistent 4-6 scores to claim third overall.
Moore, Oklahoma's Suzuki-mounted
Jacob Martin had an impressive performance in the 80cc (12-13) class, scoring
the overall win ahead of Daniel Norman.
The Dago Racing/American Suzuki/
Oklahoma Honda-Suzuki/O'Neal/
Smith/Pro Circuit/Scoob's Seats/
Motorcycle Raceways-sponsored Martin
dominated both outings, while Norman
finished fourth in moto one and third in
moto two.
Intermediate rider Rod Richardson
won both motos in the combined Vet
Pro/Intermediate class to score the overall, while Mike ewman won the Pro
division by finishing fourth overall in
moto one and third in moto two.
