It took the Team Peak rider 10 laps to cat ch up to a nd th en pass North Co unty Yama ha 's Vohland for second, a nd just one more lap to whee lie by teamma te Ant unez, wh o had led from la p five after passin g th e early lead er, Kawa saki 's Ryan Hughes. In all, th er e wer e five differ ent leaders in the race, begi nning with NCY Racing's Dana Wiggins wh o led the pack go ing into th e fir st turn by a full bi ke length . However , he would event ua lly drop back a nd fini sh I Ith . Next, it was Suzuki su p po rt ride r Damon Huffman, wh o had passed Wiggi ns a few tu rn s into the race. Huffma n 's lead didn' t last for lo ng, eit her, as he crashed less than a la p la ter over a doub le jum p while runn ing a ll by himself. T his ha nded th e lead to Hughes , who ma naged to sta y ou t in front for five laps befor e he washed o u t in a turn and cra shed, as well. Hugh es' tumbl e gav e Antunez th e top spo t until win ner McGrath took over for good four la ps from th e end.
