Tarres and Finn T ommi Ahvala ended the three-loo p, l-t-sectio n event tied wi th 83 points, bu t Tarres took the tiebreaker wit h 13 clea ns, three mo re tha n Ahvala . J apan ese a ce Ta ku mi Narita finished th ird wi th an 86-point score. Ahvala moved into the po ints lead as Ital ian Bosis, winner of the previous two ro unds, finished sixth overa ll. Ahvala lead s Tarres and Bosis in th e IZ·round ser ies, 69·67. The trial was held at the pi cturesque Pow erscourt wat erfall near Dubl in and the terrain o ffe red sev era l tou gh sectio ns. The top riders either clea ned or sco red o nes in the first sectio n, but the second hazard was impossi ble to clear witho ut a five-point maximum score and the next few section s in the woods proved to be nearl y as hard, sin ce tractio n was difficu lt' to find o n mud-covered rocks. Sectio ns seven through II featured ma ny rocks bill weren 't impossible to pass .
