Want A MotoGP Bike?
K
TM is putting up for sale Pol Espar-
garo's RC16 from the 2019 MotoGP
season for the bargain basement price
of $339,000 (plus tax). Espargaro used
this machine to take 11th overall in the
series as the best-placed KTM rider.
The RC16 comes packing somewhere
around the realms of 270 horsepower
(KTM won't divulge exactly how many
ponies it has), the best suspension WP
can muster and the full electronics pack-
age. The price, however, won't get you
a KTM technician to run/start the bike,
so you'll have to learn the rather compre-
hensive owners' manual. If this sounds
like you, interested parties should con-
tact KTM at rc16@ktm.com. CN
For sale: One
owner, only ridden
on Sundays. Now
you can own this
monster ridden by Pol
Espargaro in 2019.
Portimao Set For 2020 MotoGP Round
A
fter the cancellation of the Argentinian, Thailand and Malaysian MotoGP races for 2020,
Portimao in Portugal looks set to join the calendar as the end-of-year race. Portimao is Mo-
toGP's backup circuit and is well known as the venue where WorldSBK competes while in Portugal.
There's not been a Portuguese MotoGP since 2012, when it was last held at the Estoril circuit.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of the Argentina, Thailand and
Malaysian Grands Prix this season," said Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta. "However, we are
delighted to add another Grand Prix in Europe to the 2020 calendar and reveal our new agreement
that will see MotoGP racing in Thailand and Buriram until at least 2026."
An announcement on Portimao's formal appointment is expected in the coming weeks. CN
