Monster Energy Cup Canceled
I
t comes as little surprise that there will be
no Monster Energy Cup race this year, ac-
cording to statement by the race's organiz-
ers Feld Entertainment. This year's Monster
Energy Cup was scheduled to take place at
a new venue, Dignity Health Sports Park in
Carson, California, October 10.
The release reads: Unfortunately, the
Monster Energy Cup that had been
scheduled for October 10 at Dignity
Health Sports Park in Carson, CA will not
be feasible this year, due to other leagues
starting their seasons and the difficulty
of securing an appropriate location to
host the event in the fall. In conjunction
with the Monster Energy Cup, the 2020
Supercross Futures AMA National Cham-
pionship will also be canceled. CN
This year's Monster Energy Cup has been officially canceled.
I
nfront Moto Racing, the organizers of the
FIM Motocross World Championship and
Motocross of Nations (MXoN), announced
today that this year MXoN has been officially
canceled. The race was scheduled to take
place in Great Britain at Matterley Basin,
September 25-27.
The AMA announced a week earlier it
would not be sending a team this year.
Infront Moto Racing issued this statement:
Despite all the efforts from the local
organizer (Steve Dixon) and Infront Moto
Racing, there is no other viable option but
to cancel the 2020 edition of MXoN due to
the Covid-19 pandemic.
With the MXGP of Winchester planned
to be held together with the MXoN, this
GP event will now take place on the 30th
of September in Mantova as the MXGP of
Città di Mantova featuring back-to-back
MXGP races in Mantova, which will place
on September 30 and October 4. CN
