During Sunday 's "Amateur class action , Gary Potter grabbed the ho lesho t at th e start of the 125cc Begi nn er main event but was passed o n the firs t lap by Dewayn e Norrell. Shane Ward took second from Po tter on lap two then pu t th e pressure on the leade r. Near the end of the fourth lap , Norrell went down and Ward moved to first, where he sta yed until th e finish. Potter battled ba ck to second a t th e finish line and Bobbie O 'Bri an rounded out th e top three. In the 50cc Modified class, Tanner Moore jumped to the earl y lead bu t lost it to Robby Shinn down a rockerfilled straight. Lynn Ni ckerson , Jr. passed Moore as well and was closing the gap o n the leader Shinn when th e checkered flag fell. Logan Williams fin ished third and Moore claimed fourt h ahead of Melissa Williams. T he Over 25 class saw Patrick Koch get the holeshot but Mark McNeil eventually passed him and went on to . ta ke the win. McNei l hung o n to second whi le Bill Luttrell chased h im across the finish lin e from thi rd. Brian Rister led fro m start to finish in the 125cc (12-15) Schoolboy class an d also topped the I25cc In termedi ate class after ba ttli ng wi th runner-up Eric Edwards, who led the race at o ne point. Jimmy Broussard got the holeshot in the 250cc Beginner class main and led for three laps until he went down. Stephen Malone took the point and stayed out front to cla im th e win over Richard Garrison.
