Paul Lindsey started second and held off Langford 's cha lle nges for three laps bef ore he wa s pa ssed. L angford remained in second to th e fin ish while Lindsey held off Morgan to fin ish third. The sem i saw Young lead from sta rt to fini sh while Hand, J osh Kell ogg a nd Whi tley battled for second, th e last transfer position. Whit ley pa ssed Kellogg in th e sand pit, th en dogged Hand for three laps before he slipped by for second place, which he held to the fini sh . At th e sta rt of the main, Glass bolted into th e lead ahea d of Hawthorne, Palmer, Gaddis and th e rest of th e pa ck. G lass mad e an early error that allo wed Hawthorne to tak e the lead, but G lass recovered in time to reta in second. Gaddis quickly passed Pal mer for third then got by G la ss, wh o dropped back in the pac k, ashort time later. At the sam e time, Chad Pederson shot up to third and had Pal mer and Edwards o n his tail. It wasn 't long befor e Hawthorne had Gaddis challe nging for the lead, but he held him off until just past the halfway point wh en Gaddis took first. Hawthorne seemed to lose momentum and Pederso n quickly got by as wel l. That's as far as he'd slide as Gaddis cro ssed the lin e with the win ahea d of Pederson. Hawthorne held on for th ird ahea d of Palmer and Ed wards. The fir st 250cc heat saw Langford dog Edwards for five laps before he was able to take th e lead. Langford stayed o u t front to finish first , j us t ah ead of Edwards. Gaddis had to catch and pa ss Wh itley before he won heat two, while in heat three Morga cruised to the win and Pal mer out-dueled Glass to finish second . Hawthorn e led the fina l heat from start to finish with Ross Peders on finis hi ng second. In ' the first semi, Chad Pederson started in first ahead of Glass and San dell , an d th ey stayed in that order to the fini sh. T he second semi saw You ng. Han d and Atkins sta rt and finish in the same respective or der. At th e start of the main , La ngford jammed int o the lead with Ga ddis, Sa n dell and the rest of the pack foll owing. Gaddis charged past Langford at th e end of la p one to take over the lead as H awthorn e moved up to third beh ind La ngford. The to p three p ull ed away from the pack which was led by Ross Pederson after he passed Sandell for fourth. A short time later Sandell was a lso passed by Chad Pederson. After th e halfway point. Gaddis began to pull away from Langford, wh o had put some di stance on th ird place Hawthorne. They stayed in the same order to th e fini sh line with Gaddis claiming his thi rd main event win over Langford, H awthorne and Ross Pederso n .
