Spencer stomps OTHG at LACR Motocross By Greg Robertson LACR MX saw Ryan Spencer (447) top the Over the Hill Gang Begi nner class. Rick Doughty presented Karen Joice with a '74 Honda CR250 at the AH RMA banqueL mota. Chamberlain was rail ing around the co urse and sliced his way into second, while Fowler moved inside the top five. Duri ng the remaining laps. Amaradio and Kudo ran ou t of steam and faded as Waddin gt on an d Fo wler mo ved u p. Wi th three la ps to go , Fo wler tu rned up th e wick and passed bot h Wad dington and Cham berl ain to secure second. bu t would adva nce no further. Dack wo n th e mot a follo wed b y Fo wler. Chamberla i n a n d Waddington . Kudo holeshot and led the opening lap of the seco nd mota, bu t Fowler was o n the gas and was soon in command. Once out front, 22 Fowler propelled hi mself to the mota and overa ll wi ns. Dack and Kudo fough t for second, with Dack showin g su pre macy lat e in the race. Kudo managed to ho ld on to third, followed by Australian Troy Dorron and Amaradio. Mark Sandzim ier had the fastest clut ch hand and hol esho t th e fir st 250cc Beginner mota , while Andy Kyler and Bret Milan q uickly charged to second and thir d, respectively. Sandzimie r was riding by th e seat of h is pants and occupied mos t of the track whi le protecting all of hi s lin es. Both Kyler and Milan each took a poke at the lead er, but their efforts wo uld no t be rewarded as th ey wo ul d both be knocked fzom th e track by Sa ndzimier. Kyler and Mila n r"Klouped and later passed Sa ndzimier a fter he becam e fat igu ed and defen seless. Kyler wo n, foll owed by Milan and Sandzi m ier. Like in th e first mo ta, Sa ndzim ier sco rch ed to the holes ho t but lost con tro l and threw i t away two turn s later. Milan was on the move an d charged from a mid-pac k stan to steal the lead from Kyler o n the final lap.
