After the final session for th e ca rs, Hans Stuck, a well -known endurance dri ver, approached Freddie Spencer and told hi m he'd seen him race at Germany's Nurburgring in 1985 - th e year Spencer won both the 250 and 500cc World Championships. This year's Loudon Camel Classic Superbike National scheduled for June 21 at New Hampshire International Speedway has been lengthened from 60 to 100 mil es. By upping the race distance to 63 laps on the 1.6-mile circu it, promoters are forcing teams into making pit stops, ala the Daytona 200. The FIM management council approved the Bernie Ecclestone/ TWP/ Dorn a Grand Prix road race contract by an all but unanimous vote last weekend. From WERA comes word of a unique cont inge ncy award posted by FTM & Associates, the firm that holds the exclusive marketing rights in the U.S. for RK ' chain, Fram filters , Autolite spark plugs and Bendix brake pads. FTM, on behalf o f those compa nies, is offering the Top Four-Stroke Award , a bonus of $2000 th at will go to the top placin g fou r-stroke rider if - that 's if a two-stroke wins a WERA F-USA race.
