" I had a better line tha n Ra y af ter the sa nd pi t," said Ferry . " I wai ted for m y cha nce. go t a better drive and doub led by him." Ferry held on for h is second win . wh ile Sommo edged o u t Co leman fo r t h e ru n ner-up positi on. De Vane , Welc h and Cu rry ro u nded o ut the to p five. Alan Andre u , who's been domin a ting th e Vet Pro class. was beaten in both motos by ser ie s r ival R ick y Palmer. Don Grahn. who finished fo urt h . sai d. " I don 't th ink th at Alan has ridden much su percross. H e was tentative in th e first start and looked a t th e jumps for a few laps before he began doubling them ." Palmer said. " Ala n a n d I both wanted a win bad. We were over the doubles side by side in m ida ir. Everytime th at I looked over. hi s wheel wa s there. " The battle for third was equally as intense . wi th G rahn ni p ping Bart Lucas in two close races. Overall it wa s Palmer. Andreu. Lucas. Grahn and Jeff Hughes. In th e 125cc A class. Neese and Carsten traded mo to wi ns with Neese em erg ing o n top. via th e second mot o, tie -brea king victo ry. " Barry got by m e in the fir st mo to ,' sa id Neese. The Kawas a ki rider aced the 65 and 85cc (7-11) classes. Fin ish in g second to Walker in eac h class was Jessie Ballar a nd Donald Led dy. In th e Pee Wee di vision. Bubba Stewart was unbea table. Steward had to pass J erem y McDow before ta king the win in th e first moto a nd led from start to finish in th e seco nd. Kim Sybert and Cindy Co le resu med their battle in th e Women 's class, th is time it wa s Sybert co m ing out on top by winning both mot os. Col e was th e runner-up follow ed by Beth Rew is.
