Hatch's busy schedule doesn 't leave much time for hobbies, "Most of my spare time is trainingoriented. I like to work out, play basketball, mountain bike, stuff lik e that. I like to ski, but I usually can 't because I have to pay the bills. I've started getting into golf a little bit, mainl y because it's the trendy thing to do over th e off-season. A lot of racers are doing it these day s." H e also enjoys helping hi s dad, Gary, restore his exotic cars. " Ri gh t now he has a 1978308 Ferrari and a 1968 McLaren Can-Am race car - one or those big orange ones. It used to be Den n y Hulme's car; he was partners with Bru ce McLaren. A few years ago I took the Skip Ba rber driving school and got the chance to race it in Canada. U n fortu nately, second gear brok e during practice." As for as the 1992 end uro season , H atch is currently waiting to hear from Suzuki as to whether or not he'll be incl uded in the'company's factory offroad effort. " I hope things work with Suzuki, and I've heard it might, but things happen, I know th a t. I'm certainly no t going to count my chickens before the y hatch. We'll just have to wait and see. , '" have realistic goals for 1992. I'm going to compete in the entire National Championship Enduro and Reliability Enduro Series, and hope to fin ish in th e top three. There's a lot of competition out th ere and it's going to be tough. There's Hawkins, Hines, Kurt Hough, Ru ssell, a lot of guys who can win it a ll. " I' rn going to do my best. " 0'1 .
