on the third Sunday of each month, the American Road Racin g Association' (A R RA ) will no longer be involved and ARRA licenses will be honored only at the December 13'15 event. Pre-entry for the December race will be available at the race track only on the 13th and 14th with post-entry fees taken on the 15th. T he format for the December event will remain the sam e as past ARRA event s, with open practice and new riders school on Friday; ope n practice, racing school and Novi ce racin g on Saturday; and Expert racin g on Sunday. " We don 't hav e a wh ole lo t of informa tion a t th is point, bu t we' re trying to pu t it together, " Murray said. " Our sponsor has committed." The team is now in the process of acquiring the necessary machi nery and personnel to contest the Grand Prix series. Bob" Meister is retiring from full-time dentistry to concen trate his efforts on the 1992 AMA Pro Twins Championshi p, the AMA/CCS Endurance Series and th e AMA/CCS regional championships. For more information cont act Meister at 414/784-8972. American Motorcycle Institute (AMI) of Dayton a Beach, Florida, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in January, 1992. Part of the celebra tion will be the reloc ation to its new 10acre campus one-mil e west of Daytona International Speedway on U.S. 92. The new campus will house classrooms, labs , spe cialty shops, o££ices and meeting rooms. In addition, it features recreational facilities for AMI students and staff members, including a swimming pool, and basketball and tenn is courts. The school will host its grand opening celebra tion in March, during Camel Motorcycle Week '92. As reported in an earlier issue, 1990 Camel Pro Rookie of th e Year Mike Hale will be among the American continge nt of dirt trac kers trave lling to Bol onga , Ita ly for an invitational short track meet, December 6-8. U nli ke the other riders who will relax upon returning home, Hale will en ter the hospital ear ly the next morning to have a titanium plate and scr ews rem oved from his wrist. Honda has anno unced tha t it will be bringing four of its RS250 road racers into the U.S. in 1992. The bikes will sell for $17,000, including a parts kit, and will be available in January.
