The Kawasaki pit service was the most orga nized we have seen. All pit locations offered warm welcomes, a shot of gas and wat er, and any rep lacement parts needed. Joe Hofmann , of Co lorado Springs, Colorado, was kill ed in a motorcycling acciden t while trai l r id i n g with friends. J oe was 15 years of age and was a memb er of the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circu it (R MEC). He competed in the 250cc B cla ss.
