He was quickly in a nd th e rear was

" Dur ing the red flag we didn 't hav e

a tir e blow and get killed. "
The lead went to Dutchman and the

Dutchman.
" We worked hard," team owner
Dave Schlosser said in the win ner's

and we just owe it to o ur spons ors,
our riders and everyone else who
worked hard to make this record th ird

made a little gamble on fuel a t the end
and it worked out. We finished the
race, literally, on fumes."
" I've been r iding a lot th is weekend
an d I'm prett y worn o u t," secondpl aced Zampach said. "I rode th is bike
for over two hours a nd I wasn't just
riding, I was racing it. T he fro nt brake

an d you just had to hang on twi ce as
hard and work the bike and your body
twice as hard."

the tim e. I was between th rees a nd
fives. Getting th rough the in field was
a chore in itse lf. I' d pull the 600s on
the bankin g an d they'd catch m e in
the infi eld."
"After the red flag we had a big slash
in ou r rear (Dunlop) from something
on the track, so they were slowed

" I rode the second a nd fourth shifts and
Mike Karrn rode th e third a nd first. "

" We just don't have th e horsep ower

getting really, really slick. Wh en I was
