eEVENT Camel Pro Awards Banquet/Harley-Davidson Victory Party e Pho tos by Donn Maeda and Mitch Friedman fter eight long months, 13 different ci ties and 16 races, the Camel Pro dirt track season came to an end, and it was time to celebrate. After the season-endi ng Sacramento Mile, rid ers, mechanics and sponsors head ed east LO the resort ci ty of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, for the an nual Camel Pro Awards Banquet, and HarleyDavidson's seemi ng ly-ann ua l victory party. Caesar's Tahoe played 'host to both events, which were held o n the da y fo llow i ng the Sacram ento Mile. H arl ey-Davidson 's pa rty was held in the a fte r noon , and wa s ce n te re d arou nd the theme of th e number 4; Scott Park er scored the fourth Grand Nat iona l Champion ship, Chris Carr did the same in the 600cc National series, and Kevin Atherton fin ished the season fourth overall. Mark Tu ttle, HarleyDavidson's Vice President of Engineering, presented the team riders wit h bonus checks, golf cl ubs, and Harl ey golf balls. Parker's bonus for winning the cham pionship was $45,000. Later that eveni ng , ri ders donned coa ts a nd ties for th e Came l Pro banquet, where the $200,000 point fund was distribu ted among th e series' to p 10 fin ishers. Ch ecks were pres ented to th e riders by Ca mel Pro Senior A (Abo ve) Camel Pro Senior Operations Manager Curtis G ray and Miss Camel Paige Thomas presented Scott Parker (center) with a $100 ,000 bon us che ck for winning his record-tying fourth-consecutive Grand National Ch am p io nsh ip. Operations Ma nager, Curtis Gray, wh ile ESPN 's Dave Despain handled th e emcee' chores. Parker received the biggest chec k, $100,000; while Ca rr took hom e $30,000 for second place. For the second year in a ro w, Ronn ie ] ones finish ed third and went home $20,000 richer, while Atherton 's best fin ish th us far net ted him $15,000. Fi fth pla ce La rr y Peg ra m scored $10,000, whi le series vetera n Steve Morehead recieved $7000 for six th, and . Farr is $6000 for seventh. (Morehead and Rodney Farr is finished tied in points, but sixth p lace was awarded to Moreh ead o n the basis of hi s ha ving mor e heat race win s.) Dave Durelle brok e in to the top 10 with a $5000 eighth place seaso n . T wo-time Grand National Cha m pio n Ricky Gr aham returned to the series full ti me in '9 1, and pocketed $4000 for n inth.
