.. CRESP~ Whi te Bros.!Acerb is-su pported Frank Keegan was fourth at the finish, just over a minute behind Russell, while Stan Lojak worked his way up to fifth at the fin ish. Doug Blackwell 's early ch ar ge towards the front of the pack left h im without much energy in reserve for a late push, but the talented Team Green rider still managed sixth overall on the day. Shephard, Jones and the fourstrokers of Roac h and Whi taker ro u nded out the top 10 overall at the Buckeye Run. T op Junior (+25) rider on the day was Lojak's-backed Dave Santi, the 20th overall rider on the day. Fellow Yamaha riders Dave Molnar and John Vincent rounded out the top three in the class. Top Vet A on the day was Rick Kresic , who moved up into 11th overall in the sta ndings by virtue of his solid 12th overall finish. Jeff Murgel and Dave Fallas ran second and third in the class. In the Super Senior (+50) class, North Carolina's Harry Greenlee sealed up the class win over Donald Hough and Charles H awk. Blacksburg, South Carolina's Alan McEntire was the top Open B class rider as he finished more than six minutes ahead of Oh io's Steve Hasman. Kawasaki/Yamaha of Shelby's Van ce Ear l led all 250cc B class riders at the finish with Weaver's Suzuki/R. Bryan Photos' Richard Bryan running a close second. Ohio 's Todd Morain was once again the top 200cc B ride r, bettering Tennessee's Kevin Brandon by 80 seconds . Fastest Four-Stroke B competitor was Indiana's Bob Sloan. Pennsylvania 's Greg Rzeplinski topped the Vet B class aboard his Zechamn's Cycle/Boyesenbacked Yamaha. And Gear Racewearbacked David Dehner was the class leader in the Senior B division. That was in 1984, when Lawson was the team leader for Team Marlboro Agostini Yamaha and Rainey was in his first season of Gran d Prix raci ng contesting the 250cc World Championship as part of Team Marlboro Roberts . In 1988, Wayne Rainey finished third In the 500cc World Championship. The following year he had moved up to second in the title chase, and finally , in 1990, Wayne Rainey won a well-deserved 500cc World Championship .
